Monna Clara - Florenz

Zunächst einmal war es für uns ungewohnt, hinter der Fassade eines alten Geschäfts- und Wohnhauses auf der 1. Etage ein sehr gelungenes Hotel zu finden. Die Komunikation läuft übers Internet oder telefonisch, da Personal nur sporadisch (i.d.Regel am Morgen) oder nach persönlicher Vereinbarung im Hause ist. Wir trafen dann auf einen sehr hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter, der persönlich half unsere Fahrräder (wir waren unterweges auf einer Fahrradreise) ins 1. Stockwerk zu tragen, um sie in dem für meinen Geschmack großzügigen, bestens ausgestatteten Zimmer sicher abzustellen zu können. Frühstück gibt's in einer Bar/Cafeteria ca. 150 m vom Hause entfernt. Hier findet ihr eine komfortable und preiswerte Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in zentraler Lage.

Zimmer sauber und recht modern.

Zimmer zu klein, die Bilder stammen von anderen Zimmern. Kein Gepäckausladen am Eingang möglich !! Geht gar nicht !! Mitarbeiter wenig hilfsbereit und wollte trotz eines Feiertags nur Stellplatz für völlig überzogene 25 € vermitteln. Parken auf öffentl. Parkstreifen in 150 m Entfernung jedoch die ganze Nacht gratis möglich. Danach 2 € / Std. Feiertags absolut kostenlos. Dom in 10 Gehminuten erreichbar - lachhaft !! nicht empfehlenswert !!

Very clean, super nice staff, excellent location!

The location is not close as expected

Rooms were simple yet functional, with wifi , aircon with modern and spacious bathrooms, and hot showers which all worked well. Generally a decent value and staff were helpful..

We had chosen this hotel for the proximity to train station but found the location was actually not very pleasant (quite a lot of shady characters loitering in dark corners on the way to hotel). We arrived at night, the streets were not well lit and the hotel entrance and lifts were dark and not very welcoming. Its not a bed and breakfast run by a family, but rather an economy hotel in the city! which is fine if thats what you r looking for. It May just be a one off, but we had to swat a lot of hungry mosquitos in the room that night. Would not recommend if you are a single female traveller.

Great location, very helpful and polite staff. The room was clean with a comfortable bed.

Lots of street noise in some rooms, no facilities for tea/coffee or breakfast even though it is supposed to be a b&B. Very little staff attendance at the reception, and when I arrived there was no-one there. Were it not for other people letting me in the front locked gate where nobody answered a buzzer, I would have been stranded, and only to find that I was supposed to phone a mobile number on arrival if there was no- one in attendance I did not have access to a phone. The hotel manager from another floor in the building made the call for me.

The rooms are clean. Safe and comfortable.

Bathroom too small, bed not ok.

The location was excellent, the place was clean and close to the station, the staff were polite and friendly but not always available at the front desk, most of the time none was there.

It was so noisy, people were banging the main door while leaving their rooms, even the noise from the street was annoying, you cannot sleep without disturbance. You have to carry 3 keys with you to reach to your room, it is not a hotel, it is more like small furnished apartments. It was overpriced for us considering the facilities provided.

The hotel location is good and rooms are clean.

This hotel is not a like real hotel as it has a part-time lobby and it has no restaurant..It is also very difficult to find out the hotel as it is one floor of the apartment!!! You must carry at least 3 keys to reach your room...One for opening the gate,one for the building and one for the room....Its better to call it only bed as it doesnt have breakfat either....It is impossible to call it 3 star hotel.....

+ Location is great, it's almost in front of the main station (less than a minute walk, and around 7-10 mins walk to the Dome) + Staff is very friendly + Great value for money

- All the previous reviews about the facade of the building were true... looked like a hostel - Very cold floors, it was impossible to walk down the room without your shoes on - The rooms appear to be smaller than in the photos, but still very nicely decorated and designed

Room is big, friendly staff, shower is good. Staff give us a souvenir upon check out.

No breakfast.

The location of the hotel is very near to the station! The room is tidy and bright. The desk clerk is very friendly and could speak good English and could give useful advice for tour. We did have a good time here.

Good hotel! The enrance is scary but as you get in and meet the staff its a wonderful place. You can walk to downtown Florence and Florence is a beautiful city.
